1. Information we collect
When you purchase, Stripe provides us with order information such as your name, email address, billing address, payment status, transaction identifiers, and the licences purchased. Our servers also create essential session cookies and may record technical information such as IP address, browser details, request times, and security logs. We do not receive or store your full card number.
When you send a project enquiry, we store the name, email address and project details you provide, together with available campaign and referral information. We use these to review your request, respond about the project and understand how people find R&B Ready. We also record your preference for R&B Ready marketing emails. You can untick the marketing checkbox and still send your enquiry.
2. How we use it
We use this information to operate Checkout, deliver files and licences, answer support requests, maintain order records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use it for unrelated advertising.
3. Who processes it
Stripe processes payments and Checkout data under its own privacy policy. Google Analytics processes website usage data to provide audience and performance reports. Our hosting and database providers process the information needed to run R&B Ready. BeatStars-hosted media and artwork may receive ordinary browser request data when you load or preview a track. We disclose information to authorities only when legally required or when necessary to protect customers and the service.
When you choose to watch a video on our sales page, a YouTube player loads in privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube processes information needed to deliver the video under its own privacy policy. Video players load only when requested, and your enquiry fields are not shared with the player.
4. Cookies and retention
Anonymous drafts in the Writing Room, beat-page editor and Studio stay in local storage on your device. When you choose Save project in Studio after signing in, we store the project title, selected beat, lyric sections and timings with your account so you can return on another device. Later changes to that saved project are autosaved. We do not send your lyrics to an AI provider. You can download a text copy or delete a saved project in Studio. Clearing browser data removes local drafts, but does not delete projects saved to your account. Google Analytics and session replay are disabled on writing, studio, account and beat-detail pages.
Studio accounts store your email address, confirmation status and session tokens. If you set a password, we store its hash. We use these details to sign you in and protect your private projects. Your projects are not public. Contact us to request account deletion.
We record Writing Room actions (starting, copying or exporting, listening and opening licence options), beat identifiers, timestamps and available acquisition information. Random browser and visit identifiers let us distinguish returning use and associate a later order with a writing visit. These records contain no draft titles or lyrics. They help us understand whether the tool is useful and leads to beat purchases; they do not establish a person's identity across devices.
R&B Ready uses cookies and local browser storage for site security and functionality. We also use Google Analytics, which may use analytics cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, referring pages, device and browser details, and approximate location. We use these reports to understand and improve the site, not to sell personal information. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Order records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary for delivery, support, fraud prevention, and applicable accounting or legal retention periods.
Google Analytics and session replay are disabled on the project enquiry form and its private review pages. Project enquiries are available to authorised R&B Ready staff for handling your request. You can contact us to request correction or deletion of an enquiry.
5. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, restrict, or delete your personal information, or object to certain processing. Some order data must be retained where the law requires it. Send privacy requests to [email protected]; we may need to verify your identity first.
6. Updates
We may update this policy as R&B Ready develops. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
